We live at the very end of Rockenback of off 92nd Cav Ave. I'm hoping to our next move keeps us on the east coast. That is where my husband has done all his time so far. We have been to Camp Lejeune twice, Parris Island, Quantico and now here.Tempiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11517181963931971413noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1618232822971388736.post-48048974494029511802010-01-08T18:29:56.158-05:002010-01-08T18:29:56.158-05:00We left in 05, so it's been awhile. It makes me sad, that used to be the only good place to run without being on the roads. When we were there we lived in some ghetto houses, they're still there but they were just remodeled on the inside. We lived on Pierce Ct, do you know where that is?

I'm hoping to head up there someday this year since I still have good friends that live there. If you get transferred to Camp Pendleton you should look me up, we can go to Barnes and Noble together :-)Bonniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09491190055388576205noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1618232822971388736.post-70047091898120182572010-01-08T18:08:01.697-05:002010-01-08T18:08:01.697-05:00We are at Fort Meade. He is working at the Reservist station there. We have about a year and a half left here and then it's on to somewhere else. How long ago were you here? I'm sure it has changed a lot. They have pretty much tore down/renovated all the old houses. They have also gotten rid of part of the golf course to build this huge office building.Tempiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11517181963931971413noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1618232822971388736.post-40508715468482586552010-01-08T11:13:18.822-05:002010-01-08T11:13:18.822-05:00Oh my goodness! I had forgotten all about that series, wow, I miss that wholesome reading.

Anyway, thanks Tempie for the advice for "Love in the Time of Cholera," I was gonna read it before I watched the movie. But I decided to watch the movie and you are right, that movie was a bit creepy.

Also, do you happen to live at Ft Meade? My husband is also a Marine and we were stationed there for about four years. I was our first duty station, so it holds a special place in our hearts. Two of our children were born at Bethesda.Bonniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09491190055388576205noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1618232822971388736.post-42739425096992066712010-01-07T22:10:49.463-05:002010-01-07T22:10:49.463-05:00Oh, I also loved the Sweet Valley Twins.
I'm...Oh, I also loved the Sweet Valley Twins.

I'm liking the Kindle so far. I had to get it more out of a necessity though. I average about 2-3 books a month and with my husband being in the military we move at least every 3 years. My book collection was getting a little out of control. Then you factor in my son also has a book habit so he has a ton of books. I'm sure the packers always grumbled with they saw our books cases. :) Also, with the case that you can get for the Kindle, it almost feels like I'm holding a real book.Tempiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11517181963931971413noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1618232822971388736.post-64382654275034259682010-01-07T19:19:47.933-05:002010-01-07T19:19:47.933-05:00I'm so glad you're here, Tempie!! This gr...I'm so glad you're here, Tempie!! This group of girls is just getting better and better by the day! :) We are going to have such a great time. I can't wait until I can actually discuss what I'm reading on here with others who are reading the very same thing. I've literally dreamed of being able to do this since Oprah started her book club in the 90s. Oh, and then, I read all her book club books... was ob-sessed with them. :)

And Tempie, my book obsession also started with Beverly Cleary books.. along with Sweet Valley Twins... and The Babysiter's club. Ahh. those were the good old days. My grandma would take me to the bookstore and let me get a whole stack of them at a time and I would leave thinking I had just won the lottery. It was fabulous. And now I'm just the same, I can't go to Barnes and Noble without getting at least two books. It's intoxicating to me!

And how do you feel about the Kindle? Do you miss having actual books?Candacehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13429938149745694810noreply@blogger.com
