Let the Great World Spin

So, I kind of had to cheat and read this one last week because it is due back to the library on Monday and I couldn't renew it because so many people want it. I REALLY liked it. Not sure if it's going to wow a lot of you so I wanted to give everyone a head's up. It's got some dark subject material and it isn't really a "happy" book. It's centered in New York City in the 70s and deals with slew of different characters similar to the storyline in "Olive Kitteridge". Unlike Olive though, all the characters are connected somehow (except a few, which I'm still trying to figure out how/why they were included). Each character is explored in depth and seems so real. I thought it was fantastic and hope you do too :-)

  2. I finished this one yesterday. I had a hard time getting into it. After about the 3rd chapter it started flowing a little better for me and then by the end I was really interested in what happened to this people. I'm still not a fan of the whole different character stories in each chapter but at least these tied into each other. I definitely agree with Erica, it definitely has some subject matter and if you are bothered by a lot of cussing in a book then this is definitely not for you because there is a lot.
