Sarah's Key

Based on recommendation from someone in this group (I believe it was Candace) I bought this book and recommended it as my other books club's book for May. It was the one selected (it barely beat out Let the Great World Spin). I just finished it this morning and oh my gosh I so loved this book. I was hooked from the very first chapter. I loved the alternating chapters in the beginning and usually books like that I'm interested in one story more than the other and can't wait to finish the chapter so I can get back to the really good story. That was not the case with this book, I was interested in both the past and present story. If there is anyone that has not read this book yet I definitely recommend it.

  1. Tempie, I'm SO GLAD you loved this one! This book is one of those that I still think about today. It broke my heart and made me so angry at that whole time in history. I just CAN'T believe that people were treated that way and killed like that. I can't imagine being in that situation. I think it hurt so much also reading that for me, because that little boy is almost the same age as Noah and I can see Emma wanting to protect Noah in the same way. :(
